It’s the most wonderful time of the year…for beauty lovers! It’s the Sephora VIB Sale! Sephora rarely offers discounts, so it’s exciting for me when they do! During this time, I stock up and buy the higher priced items that I’ve had my eye on for awhile.
As a Sephora VIB member, I already shopped the sale last week and if you’re a VIB or VIB Rouge member than you also shopped it already with me! (Let’s talk on Instagram, tell me what ya got!)
Now, for Beauty Insiders, YOUR time is now! Here are the details:
15% OFF WITH THE CODE BIBONUS

Recommendations:
(These are my tried and true faves that I recommend)
Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette
This is one of the best eyeshadow palettes ABH has come out with. It’s wonderful for everyday, but you can also use it for darker, glam looks. It’s a great palette to travel with because you’ll have the colors you need to create a look from day to night. See it here!
Ouai Memory Mist
This spray “memorizes” your hairstyle once you apply heat. I spray this on after blow drying, but before flat ironing. (You can spray it on before any heat tool you prefer though!) Another way I use it is before curling my hair – it holds the curl for a longer amount of time and I can usually go the next day without using the curling iron again. It also doubles as a heat protectant! I’ve gone through about 4 bottles of this and grabbed another during the sale.
Living Proof No Frizz Shampoo & Conditioner
Shampoo and Conditioner isn’t the most exciting purchase, but the ones I like are expensive so I try to stock up whenever there’s a deal! I have naturally curly hair that’s prone to frizz, so Living Proof is the best I’ve ever tried for my hair type. I use the products in their “No Frizz” line.
Fenty and Hourglass Foundations
Pricier foundations are my favorite things to save on during the sale, so I picked up the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in the shade 240. Fenty is a full coverage, very matte finish that I use when I want a flawless, filter-in-real-life face that lasts a long time. It’s my go-to for weddings and big events.
Another favorite of mine is the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick. (My shade: Golden Natural) This one has a beautiful satin finish that can be built up to full coverage. The fact that it’s a stick makes it mess-free, travel friendly, and so easy to use when you’re in a rush. I’m a sucker for the packaging too – it looks so beautiful and sleek on your makeup counter!
Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner in Trooper
I repurchase this eyeliner again and again. It lasts all day and doesn’t flake, and has survived through my gym workouts! Apparently it even lasts through car accidents according to this hilarious review left by a girl on the KVD website that went viral! I couldn’t agree with her more!
Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
This keeps your makeup locked and loaded like no other! A must have – I haven’t found a setting spray that makes my makeup lasts longer than this. The name “All Nighter” describes it perfectly!
New Finds & Purchases:
(These are new-to-me products that I bought during the sale and am going to test out for the first time!)
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask
I mentioned in my skincare post that I wanted to get into masks. WELP, this is the mask that the internet won’t shut up about, so I was curious to see what the hype was about and got one! $48 is pretty steep so I thought buying during the sale was a smart idea. I was excited to find that they still had them in stock in store – this Kim Kardashian and Jessica Alba approved mask is always sold out!
Apparently you can wear this overnight and under makeup, and it requires virtually no cleanup – you just wipe it off with a cloth or rub it in like a moisturizer? It sounds like the easiest mask to deal with in the world so I was sold. I’ll report back!
Kat Von D Lash Liner
This was an impulse buy that was my sister’s fault. I was on the phone with her when I mentioned I was on my way to Sephora. She told me to check out this new product as she was interested in trying it for herself. This lash liner claims to be “the first liquid liner for your waterline.” I quickly tested it out in store and was amazed at the results. The applicator is so soft and it dispenses the product evenly and easily.
Later outside, my eyes watered and literal tears fell from my eyes due to the cold Chicago winds – and this liner stayed put and didn’t run at ALL! I have never, EVER applied liner in my water line before, but this innovative product has made it less intimidating and has converted me! I’m officially a water line eyeliner wearer, y’all!
Still on the Wishlist:
(The items I STILL haven’t pulled the trigger on!)
Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Palette [Limited Edition]
I’ve been going back and forth on whether I want this palette. It looks so similar to the Soft Glam, which I already own, but I’ve been loving ABH’s eyeshadow formula! I’m just imagining all the beautiful holiday eye looks I could create with those shimmery shades! I probably should have gotten it since its limited edition for the holidays – maybe I’ll add it to my Christmas list this year!
NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation
I’ve tried a few samples of this and LOVE how my face looks but I’ve never pulled the trigger on the $49 price! It’s the one I’m actually wearing in these photos! It’s full coverage, but with a “Natural” finish – meaning it doesn’t look cakey at all but will smooth over all your trouble areas. It says it’s great for all skin types, but if you have oily/combo skin I think it will look greasy. It’s got a dewy finish that really shows, even on my normal/dry skin. The result is gorgeous, but definitely set this one well with loose powder!
NARS Highlighting Powder in Fort De France
I’ve been looking at this highlighter from NARS in the shade “Fort De France.” I hear that it’s a silky formula with no glitter, just glow – exactly how I like my highlights. I didn’t buy it this time, but I do have my eye on this mini gift set version that comes with a bronzer. I actually prefer mini highlights – who actually goes through a full pan of highlighter anyway? (Don’t answer that!)
Anything Drunk Elephant
I’ve heard so much about this brand for skincare – but it’s so crazy expensive! I kept pacing around the Drunk Elephant section and asking the employees all the questions, but didn’t bite the bullet! If you end up trying any of these products, let me know what you think – are they worth it?!
